These often come with guarantees in case anything happens, and you can tell them exactly what you expect from the equipment so they can match you to your needs. However the price can be high at these stores unless you are visiting during a sale period. Regardless of whether there is a sale going on have a go at bartering with them, as some stores may make you a better offer if they know you are going to purchase one elsewhere.
The internet has a good many deals to be found with offers and discounts varying right up to 45% of retail prices. That is a lot of money saved and has the added benefit of no walking around different stores.
